We keep this simple. We collect only what we need, we don't sell your data, and we don't share it with advertisers. Ever.
1. Who We Are
Velsia is a product of Velsia Technologies Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. Our registered office is in the United Kingdom.

2. What Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us:
- Email address — when you sign up for early access or create an account
- Kitchen design data — cabinet layouts, sizes, colours, and specifications you create in the app
- Order information — delivery address, contact details, and payment information when you place an order (payment is processed by Stripe — we do not store card details)
We also collect limited technical information automatically:
- Device type and operating system version
- App usage data to improve the product (crash reports, feature usage)
- IP address for security purposes
3. Camera and LiDAR Data
The Velsia app uses your device camera and LiDAR sensor to scan your kitchen. This scanning data is used solely to generate your room dimensions and is processed on your device. We do not upload photos or video of your home to our servers. Only the numerical dimension data derived from the scan is stored.
4. How We Use Your Information
- To provide the Velsia service — saving and loading your kitchen designs
- To process and fulfil your orders
- To send you a single notification when Velsia launches (early access signups only)
- To improve the app based on usage patterns
- To respond to your support requests
We do not use your data for advertising. We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not share your data with any company except those directly needed to fulfil your order (our kitchen manufacturer) or process payment (Stripe).
5. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase, hosted within the European Union. We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit and at rest. Access to your data is restricted to authorised Velsia staff only.
6. Your Rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Object to processing of your data
- Data portability — receive your data in a portable format

7. Cookies
Our website (velsia.co.uk) uses no advertising cookies and no third-party tracking cookies. We use a single session cookie to remember your email signup status. That's it.
8. Early Access Email List
If you signed up for early access, we will send you one email when Velsia launches. You can unsubscribe at any time by emailing hello@velsia.co.uk with the subject line "Unsubscribe".
9. Children
Velsia is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as Velsia develops. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent update.
